The Department of Defense (DoD) High Performance Computing Modernization Program is an Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD) program established in 1992.  In October 2011, the Program transitioned to the Assistant Secretary of the Army for Acquisition, Logistics and Technology (ASA(ALT)) and is managed by the Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC) of the US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) in Vicksburg, Mississippi.  Since its inception, the Program has realized great success in establishing world-class, state-of-the-art, high-performance computing capabilities and expertise within the Department’s laboratories and test centers. Under the governance of the Executive Steering Group, the HPCMP works closely with the DoD Service and Agency representatives to optimize resource allocations in line with the Department’s RDT&E and acquisition engineering priorities.
